Backing on to the ancient Black Wood of Rannoch there are many walks & cycle routes of varying lengths for you to enjoy, as well as several nearby Munros, the most iconic being Shiehallion which is easy to climb & located just 10 miles from the cottage. The cottage has four quality mountain bikes for you to enjoy free of charge.
The famous House of Bruar is a short drive away, as are the towns of Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. From Rannoch Moor you can take the train trough stunning scenery north via Fort William to Mallaig over the Glenfinnan viaduct (made famous in the Harry Potter films), or heading south will take you to Glasgow and places beyond.
For those just wishing to relax from the daily stresses in life the enclosed garden with gazebo and large comfortable garden room with its wood burning stove are the perfect place to unwind and just take in and enjoy the scenery & local wildlife.
